The Austrian Sustainable Building Council (ÖGNI) has accepted CSC Platin, Gold, and Silver certified concrete as eligible to score points in the DGNB environmental credit ENV1.3 “Sustainable Resource extraction” for the quality level 1.2. In addition, also the CSC R-Module for recycled concrete is accepted for quality level 2.1 in the same criterion.
With this, concrete carrying the CSC certificate in Platin, Gold or Silver can directly contribute to the performance of sustainable buildings, helping customers to obtain better ÖGNI certificates.
Peter Engert, Managing Director @ ÖGNI: “Binding in leading material stewardship systems such as the CSC is paramount to cover the entire value chain of sustainable construction. The commitment of the CSC is an important step to further develop sustainability in the concrete sector.”
Michael Scharpf, Chair of the CSC Technical Committee: “We are very happy that the leading Austrian Green Building Label ÖGNI is recognizing the CSC System for concrete as a key construction material. Just like with the recognition by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), the CSC will provide transparency and value to sustainable construction projects.”
